Key Features
  • Architectural New Build
  • Lancashire
  • 1 x 23kW Edinburgh Eco Air Boiler
  • Annualised cost Estimate 2012: £2552
  • Savings estimate v’ oil: £2300

Built to exacting architectural standards this large, stylish property’s owners wanted to avoid exposure to the potential costs of oil fired central heating.

The house uses a combination of under floor heating and radiators and a 23kW Edinburgh Eco Air Boiler to provide central heating and hot water. Annual bills for 2012/13 have been £2552 representing estimated savings of £2300 against oil. The property was not accredited as an MCS installation as the owners wished to install a single heat pump, relying on other heat sources and the built in booster in cold weather. This has reduced the savings slightly in cold winters but avoided the need to install 2 units.

The new owners have commented that they are very happy with the system and are far more relaxed in their new home knowing that they are protected from potential rises in the costs of oil.
