When building a new school hall and gym the governors wanted to take a sustainable and affordable approach. As a local supplier Global Energy Systems were able to help with the carbon foot print of the project. A dual system of 2 London Eco Air Boilers was used to provide heating and hot water for the new building. The main hall is heated through an underfloor system.

As a heat pump was planned for the building the heating system and the installation plans could be optimised to minimise cost and maximise performacne.

In 2012 the estimated running costs of the building was just £915 a potential saving of over £700 compared to oil. the building produced estimated emissions of just 3.4 tonnes, a potentail saving of 2.8 tonnes against oil.

In Nov 2011 the school was recognised for its efforts on carbon reduction with a sustainability award.
