Trialling the new Cambridge  heat pump this 3500 sq m production hall has been operational through the winter of 2014/15. The target is to hold the internal space at a working temperature of 19 deg C rather than office temperatures  This is done through the use of ceiling mounted fan convectors which both deliver the heat and destratify the air. These have been specially built to work with the low flow temperatures of a heat pump. Through the winter months internal temperatures of 19 deg C have been held.

The estimate for annual heat pump costs is approximately £14,000 pa Early data suggests these costs are correct with no supplementary gas heating used despite periods of freezing weather.

When running costs, potential RHI payments of £11,353 and Climate Change Levy charges are taken into account annual savings of nearly £18,000 are anticipated. with carbon emissions cut by over 25%.

The heat pump is a dedicated heating system offering the same design advantages as the domestic Eco Air Boilers but at a significantly greater scale. For more details please contact 03333 444414.
